The Force 3 Defender is everything I was looking for in a new mask. Good fit, visibility and protection. Very happy with it!

I little heavy from what I was use to. I guess I have to use it more.

Took a few fouls off this mask and didn’t feel a thing. The mask is well-made and comfortable. If you use a lighter mask, it takes a game to get used to the feel and what the mask offers for protection. I did purchase the neck/throat guard extension for ease of mind. Best bang for your buck if you want to stay around $200.

Well made - very protective and unsurprisingly heavier but provides the higher level protection I was looking for. After a few games the mask felt comfortable. My lightweight Wilson mask will now be my backup.

I bought this as a replacement for my other Force3. The padding is a little stiff, which I’m hoping will get better as it gets broken in. I feel totally protected like I always have behind the springs! I wish it could be a little lighter. I will always give up a few ounces for the unmatched protection the Force3 offers.

This latest mask by Force3 is easily one of the best masks on the market! I would like to see a bit more protection on the top of the head, but a Skull Cap or FlexShell should take care of this issue.

Great umpire mask. Took a foul off mask in a college game and I did not feel it.

I went from an All-Star Helmet to a Force3 mask and Unequal Uncap insert. I feel just as safe with a lot less weight on my neck and shoulders. Best mask out there!

Mask is very light to me. Love the visibility and of course the protection of provides from impact. Only umpire mask I will use.

A very protective mask you could ever wear!!! Extremely comfortable foam on the chin and sides on the inside of mask. Definitely recommended!

I was apprehensive about this mask and how much it weighed. But after a few games behind the dish I do not even notice it. I love this mask! I feel very secure and comfortable wearing it.

Yes, this umpire mask weighs a little more than what you may be used to, but the added protection that Force3 gives you more than makes up for the extra weight (which you'll get used to within a few games, anyways). There's a reason that this mask is showing up in high-level college ball and the pros. Add it to your bag and you'll wonder why you waited so long!

Well worth the money. The fit, comfort and protection is excellent.

I felt the need to buy a better mask for umpiring high school baseball from little league. It's slightly heavier and more bulky than my old mask but the protection is second to none. The price was more than I wanted to pay but I think it's worth it. You can't put a price on your health and concussions are no joke.

Weight is good and field of vision very good. Very happy so far and looking forward to more use with it.

I can't say enough positive things about this umpire mask. Upon reading the other reviews, I was worried the Force3 was going to be too heavy for me to be happy with. I really don't notice at all. Vision is very clear to all fields. I bought this mask after almost getting knocked out. My 1st weekend of using it, I took 3 shots off my mask, and I barely felt them at all. It gives my exceptional piece of mind. You won't regret owning this mask. Best baseball purchase of my 17 years!

This is a very nice umpire mask, just not the mask for me. Could not get comfortable with it and it was heavier than I prefer. Felt safe with it on, however, and feel it would play well when taking one square on the mask.

Great protection!! Great open view!! See things very well and the field is clear in sight of view. In first weekend of use, took direct foul ball to the center of mask and didn't feel a thing. Totally different than what I was use to feeling from similar blows in the past. I feel this is an excellent upgrade from my Wilson Dyna-Lite I have had for years. There is a little heavier weight difference to get use to to, but I feel it will be well worth the adjustment time to come. Great umpire mask!!

This umpire mask is beautiful. Takes a bit getting used to, but when you take a direct hit as I did on Saturday, the shock is deadened and the mask performs very well. I would recommend this mask because it also increases your confidence in the catcher. Well worth the price.

I just bought a F3 Defender. Black on black so it looks good. The weight is good. But the best thing is the safety. It's a superior mask, it takes the full impact so you don't have too. The F3 allows you to 'Attack the Zone'. I get my head right next to the catcher's so I can get a really good look at the pitch by KNOWING, not guessing where it came across. This keeps the game flowing because everybody ain't whinin' and cryin' about the strike zone. Strikes are now 'no doubt about it strikes' and balls ... well they still stink. Quite simply I would buy this mask at twice the price. It's that good! Buy the Force3, but only if you want to be a better umpire. If you like being concussed stay with whatever you've got and maybe you can be in the next GEICO commercial. 5-Star Rating, but only because they don't have SIX!!!

I was sold after watching the comparison video. It only takes one hit in the mask to make it more than a welcomed addition to my 2018 replacement gear. Hope I never take one to the face but should it happen I'm covered and still in the game!

Good umpire mask. A little heavier than my previous mask. But the added protection is well worth it. I have seen too many umpires get sidelined by concussion to risk not using the best gear the industry has to offer. This will serve me well in elite fastpitch games, as well as baseball games.

Excellent mask! I took two direct shots to the face on opening day off foul balls and knew this mask was a great investment. I will live with the added weight with the knowledge I'm well protected no matter which level I do.

Simply the best mask in the business! I took two direct hits, one a foul ball and the other a missed catch. Neither hit was really felt. The safety built into these masks is second to none! If you want safety, this is the mask for you. I am a little disappointed that only a few weeks after ordering this mask, Ump-Attire.com started giving away a free mask bag with it.

Where do I start? I love this mask. At first it seemed like the bars stuck out a little far, but the mask seems to disappear during the game. Now time to save up for more Force3 products.

Love this umpire mask and wear it for all of my upper level games - have not taken any substantial shots to the mask but have confidence knowing that there is added protection from concussions with this design - I will sacrifice a little more weight with this mask for the added protection over my superlight mask I use for Little League.
