Now wearing the 2nd gen F3 Defender after retiring my old 1st gen F3 which has taken many hits over the years. I matched it with the All-Star Cobalt skull cap. EXTREMELY happy with the fit and feel of this combo. The skull cap redistributes the weight and set of the mask away from the face pads in a very comfortable way! The 3rd spring is a great add. Thanks again Force3 and Ump Attire for protecting my old brain.

Good mask, but you can tell it was built with catchers in mind. This first game I used it, I took a foul ball to the top left of the mask. The shock system hit into my head and left a noticeable goose egg for a week or so. If you wear a skull cap, you should have no problems. When Force3 adds additional padding behind the shocks, I’d love to give it another chance.
