The chest protector, without a doubt, is the most comfortable one I have ever worn. It is form-fitting and low profile. The quality is unmatched.

Not super impressed for the price. Have worn it a few weeks, foul ball straight off the clavicle, and it is not near as protective as the Slim Line West Vest I previously used. The little wing flaps near the armpit are a pain in the rear. They never stay situated in the pad holder, constantly flipping around and becoming aggravating. The arm/shoulder guards are ok, sit well under the outer shirt, but once again, do not provide nearly the coverage as others I have worn. I like the lightweight, but I feel you give up a little in protection for a minimal decrease in weight. Overall 3; I would not purchase again. I may revert back to the Slim West.

I love the fact that you can adjust to what best fits you. This is the best chest protector I have ever had.
Questions About This Product
Q: | I am 73 yrs old and have been umpiring since 1984. I have had a defibrillator since 2011. Is the Force3 V3 chest protector adequate to protect my defibrillator? I have been using a Wilson West Vest since 2011 and been fine. I know there are NO GUARANTEES but is their sufficient protection for my defibrillator? – Larry Anderson |
A: | Thanks for your question. The answer gets into medical advice, which we want to stay away from. What we can tell you is which chest protectors provide more protection than others. Please see our Buying Guide for those details. If you have been wearing the Wilson West Vest, and it has worked well, the closest style to that is the Wilson Pro Gold 2 Air Management System Chest Protector. If you are going to switch to something else, including the Force3, we would encourage you to speak to your physician. – Hunter FrySupplier Relationship Manager, Customer Service Specialist, Former Basketball Referee |
