The mask has done a great job of absorbing the many shots I have taken off it. For this I would give it a 5. The problem I have found that because of the umpiring shortage in our area, many times I am required to work both games behind the plate and as an older ump, I find the masks weight takes its toll. For this reason I will be going back to lighter mask. It's a great mask, just not for me.

Ever since I have used this mask I have taken shots off of it and never felt anything! The springs on the mask absorb it! I will NEVER use another mask again for the rest of my life!

Had this mask about a month now. I still haven't taken a hit off of it yet. Very padded and thick, but comes off easily. Definitely recommend for High School or Men's League of play. Once I take a shot or two off of it, I will update my post. Giving it a 4. Could be a little looser and possibly lighter, but I like it.
