If you like the Wilson Titanium mask but prefer a standard profile frame shape instead, this mask has all the same great features, except its traditional frame shape allows for greater angles of deflection.

  • Light titanium wire frame makes this a light weight Wilson mask available at 1 lb and 5 ounces.
  • Standard curved profile frame shape offers more angles for greater force deflection.
  • Absorbent inner natural tan leather padding with outer black PU leather for durability
  • Standard Wilson padding (this mask no longer has wrap-around padding)
  • Velcro adjustments
  • MLB logo on the upper pad
  • One-size-fits-all harness with MLB logo included on mask
  • Mask by Wilson

I don't own one of these umpire masks, they do look good. My partner owns one, one day he took a foul ball to the chin, didn't knock him out but rang his bell pretty good. He couldn't finish the game due to dizziness. Good looks doesn't mean a foul ball won't hurt you, regardless of which model it is.

Decided on this mask after looking at and trying a few different ones whilst at Wendelstedt this year. Previously used the Force 3 bucket, which was great, but this is just so light and comfortable it’s unreal. Opted to fit the Team Wendy pads, although there was nothing wrong with the standard ones at all. Will have to wait and see how it fairs on the impacts, but have heard good reports from other umpires, so fingers crossed.

I just switched to this mask after wearing my old "feather light" mask for more than 10 years. This ultra-light mask is half the weight and all the protection. If your budget can support the purchase, it is worth every penny. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

Questions About This Product

Q: How well does a 6-stitch hat fit with this mask?
– Kolton Pavloff

A 6-stitch cap will fit under the Wilson brand masks. We always recommend when working the plate to use a 4-stitch cap to reduce the chance of impact being transferred from the frame, to the bill of the cap directly to the forehead. The impact force, if connection is made between the 6-stitch bill and the mask frame, has then avoided the protection provided by the mask padding.
