New Balance V3 MLB All-Black Mid-Cut Umpire Plate Shoes
Official Review: New Balance MLB V3 Umpire Plate Shoes
Ty Unthank takes you behind the plate and shares why MLB Umpires prefer New Balance Plate Shoes.
Purchased these to replace an old pair of New Balance 450s. The 450s had served well but this was definitely an upgrade in weight and comfort. The cushioned insoles are great. The high gloss finish looks very nice and so far has been easy to clean. I am pretty much a New Balance wearer across the board in all my footwear and these didn't disappoint.
I hate these umpire plate shoes. This is my third pair and all have gotten a series of streaks on both sides of the shoes that cannot be removed with polish or anything else. Very disappointed in the V3, I have complained to New Balance in the past but to no avail. I have very wide feet and these are the only shoes wide enough without going to a work boot.
