Love these umpire pants. They look professional on both the plate and the bases and my Diamond shin guards fit under these without an issue. I wouldn’t say that these are a true heather gray so much as a blend of heather and charcoal, which is exactly what I wanted. I would order these again in a heartbeat and I would recommend to any of my fellow umpires!!:) Expander waistband is also awesome.
I had one pair, ordered two more. Fit great, just make sure you get them hemmed. They are long pants. I love the stretch. I just wish umpire pants were more button than slide. FIT VERY WELL!

I’ve had these umpire pants for years. I take good care of them and the Combo pants are excellent for me. One of the other reviews is correct. You may need both base and plate pants but, for most of us the combo is fine. The expander waistband is not an insult for overweight umpires. It flexes to allow you to drop down and go up again without rolling the waistband or binding. Very comfortable and they last.
Questions About This Product
|Q:||I wear a size 33 to 34-inch waist in Smitty pants for basketball. I'm thinking about getting the 32 inch waist because it has a 2-inch expander. Should I go with the 32-inch waist or should I stick with the 34-inch waist in these pants since I can wear a belt with them?|
– Allan C.
Our recommendation, since you are closest to a 34-inch waist, would be to order the 34-inch waist and allow a belt to assist you. Ordering the 32-inch with a 2-inch expander waistband seems logical, but then your waistband is always being stretched to the max, you could end up popping the seam of the expander section while performing umpiring mechanics.– Ty Unthank
