All-Star 4" Umpire Throat Guard
Joshua C., Santee, CA
The 4 inch one says Y which I think stands for youth, but it works great as a little extra protection on an umpire mask. Don't really think you can go wrong.
Champro Lightweight Steel Umpire Mask
Chad H., Indiana
I received this mask in a combo package I purchased. The mask is very light weight, which I'm not sure is a plus or a minus when you take a good shot. I took a a foul tip to the top bar, right over my forehead and it bent the bar in about a quarter inch. I can rub my finger on the metal on the back side and feel where it has started to buckle. I bent it back with a hammer. It hurt when I got hit and I stumbled back and collected myself. The mask did it's job but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't just take the advice of a fellow umpire and buy a better quality mask that is heavier. The mask is decent but I don't know how many direct shots to the face/head I want to take with it when a direct shot bent the metal on it.
