The Whistle Shield
The Whistle Shield In Action
I think The Whistle Shield is going to be great for a regular Fox 40 whistle. I do not use the CMG but I think it would be fine over the rubber mouth piece too. I like the way The Whistle Shield looks as compared to the whistle bag, but you are not buying for looks. I also think it will be very effective in doing what it is meant to do...and easy to clean. It also gives a neater appearance.

I found the shield did not clamp securely on my whistle...it was constantly flying off my Fox 40 finger whistle while handling the football. It does what it is supposed to do otherwise...way better than the fabric whistle covers. A dab of super glue will solve my issues.
This just might be the best new product I have tried. A couple of key benefits I have noticed: 1) the whistle will actually snap solidly into the shield, holding it securely, and 2) there is a hole in the shield to allow you to thread a lanyard through it. Both of these features are EXCELLENT. Good for basketball, and I hope the IHSA approves these for use in the coming season.
Questions About This Product
|Q:||Will this work with a finger whistle?|
– Sydney Chai
The Whistle Shield will not work with a finger grip whistle. The finger attachment section of the whistle will not allow The Whistle Shield to snap into a proper place. We suggest the Smitty Whislte Pouch as it has an opening on the backside the finger whistle could fit into.– Hunter Fry
