I have enjoyed these shoes a great deal. I did not think any plate shoe would be better than my +POS plate shoes but I have found these New Balance plate shoes to be protective and incredibly comfortable. I have wide feet and the sizes ran true to my exact size and gave my feet plenty of room on the sides. 10.5 EE worked for me.

This is a very comfortable shoe. I got the middle width and it’s just fine. The problem is the lacing. It’s got to be re-done so it’ll tie tightly. Another 5 minutes but, it’s necessary and really should be done out of the box. Good shoe though. Not heavy for the protection.

Solid low cut plate shoe. I wear a size 14 and the extra wide option is awesome. The high gloss finish is easy to clean. As usual, customer service is top notch.
Questions About This Product
Q: | My daughter is a Fastpitch Girls Umpire. She wears a women's 8 - 8 1/2 wide to extra wide shoe. Would the Men's 8 2E possibly work for her? – Susan Martenson |
A: | The Men's 8 2E converts to a women's 9 1/2 according to the Shoe Conversion chart found in our Fitting Room. Unfortunately, New Balance plate shoes are offered at the smallest size of an 8. You may find a Men's 7 2E in the 3N2 Reaction Pro Low Umpire Plate Shoes, converting to a 8 1/2 women's size. – |
