Have umpired about 24 games with these in the last month at 13u through High School age. Have taken several shots to the shin and a couple to the knee area without issue. I feel well protected with these and they are much slimmer and easier to get down the line in than my bulky old Wilson Platinums. They seem to be substantially cooler too. I would definitely recommend them.

My husband calls baseball/softball. This is the best chest protector he has ever owned. The material is very breathable so he stays much cooler. It is also lighter in weight. He has taken several foul balls, with little to no impact on him. Highly recommend.
