This helmet arrived with no slack in the skullcap back piece, no ability to lengthen at all. Zero extra in the top strap, cut right to the buckle. I email the manufacturer, they will not provide a piece 1-2” longer. I will be looking for a solution, if not will need to return. Hat size is 7 3/8.

Seems like a very solid product with a good design. Unfortunately I did not get to wear it for a game. I wear a 7-1/2 to 7-5/8 hat and I could not even get this one on my head.
Questions About This Product
Q: | I wear a 7 7/8" hat size. Do you have any hockey style helmets for softball that would fit me? All I'm seeing is 7 1/2" max helmets. Signed the big head. – Edward Schuetz |
A: | Umpire helmets have an adjustable rear padded plate to accommodate many sizes. The restriction and reason for the posted size limit is the space that is allowed in the forehead area. This space is not adjustable and generally fits head sizes 7" - 7 1/2". With free shipping* and free returns within the contiguous U.S., trying a helmet to discover if your head shape can comfortably fit in the forehead area is at no risk to you. – Brandon LawsonSupport Specialist, Pro Umpire School Graduate and Umpire, Football Official & Basketball Referee |
