This mask is exceptionally light. I have taken a few balls mid-80s in the grill. It dazes me a little but protects and allows me to move on to the next pitch with all my teeth.

This mask is very light, which makes it great for a weekend full of games in the Texas heat. The pads do take some time to get used to, and would recommend replacing the stock pads that come with the mask. The harness did take some time to adjust, but the mask over all fits well and does the job.

I purchased three of these for the Little League umpires in our league. They are nice and light. Maybe not ideal pads for the everyday umpire but they work well for what we need.

This umpire mask has great vision and is insanely lightweight. However, the pads are absolute GARBAGE (I can press all the way to the bars with little pressure) and should be replaced with Team Wendy's before being used in a game.

Super light weight with good vision. I took one shot off the face with little to no reaction. I think I was more surprised the ball was coming at my face than anything else.

Great low cost, lightweight umpire mask. I was looking for an inexpensive upgrade to my old heavy mask. Pads take a little getting used to, but once adjusted it fits and feels great. Highly recommend.

Love this mask. Even though I used a hockey mask when I actually played hockey, I couldn't get used to a HSM as an umpire. This mask is lightweight and durable. The pads ripped after a few uses and were replaced with Team Wendy Pads. I recently took a foul ball to my right cheek area and the mask went flying. I felt it, but I wasn't hurt from the hit. This was with a 25 year old throwing hard. I love the extension at the top. It not only protects against shots up there if your head is slightly tilted down, but acts as a nice handle when the mask is off. Highly recommend the mask. I only knocked the stars down because the padding didn't last.

Great mask...replaced the pads with my Team Wendy pads and have taken numerous shots to the face and barley felt a thing...great quality especially for the price.

I bought this mask as a lightweight supplement to my West Vest mask for when I umpire Little League games. I am very impressed. The lack of weight is stunning when compared to my other mask, but it handles foul balls very well. I can't speak to wearing it in older divisions, and probably won't, but it is absolutely worth the price! The pads, like some other comments have observed, are not the best, but I kept them for a season and it didn't bother me too much. I will probably replace them at some point, but its not a deal breaker. Great mask for the price!

Super light and absorbs all the shock I have had thrown at me umpiring softball through the college level and baseball up to 15's. Never wish I had anything else. Recommended to several and never heard any complaints.

Let me start off just by saying THIS IS SO GOOD!! I just finished a blistering hot season and out in the heat, your gear makes a huge difference. The lightweight design of this mask is so effective that you can't even feel it when you put it on. But the best part is that it doesn't sacrifice protection for its light weight. I've taken countless foul balls off the mask, and I couldn't even feel it. It just shifted a bit, and took the entire bulk of the hit. I just readjusted and went back. It's cheap, light, and effective. You will NOT regret purchasing this at all.

The mask is very light weight, a decent visibility. WHAT EVER YOU DO, REPLACE THOSE PADS!!! I put my Wilson Two-Tone wrap around pads on it with a sun visor.

Great light mask. Took my first shot last night no damage to the mask but the pads are not so good. Jaw hurted bad. Woke up this morning with a stiff neck. Replace the pads

Great Mask, lightweight and with a superb visibility. The pads are bad news, so plan on buying a different set. I did, a Diamond set and no more concussions. Diamond should be ashamed of themselves for allowing these pads to be used. Suggest their Marketing Manager put this mask on and take a few hits, I would bet that the pads would be changed out within 24 hours.

Wow!! Used this mask for the first time this last weekend in a AmLg. tourney. I took about 4 foul balls off this mask over the course of 6 games, 1 a straight shot to the face. I was a bit leery of the ability of this mask to withstand a hard shot, but that concern was soon put to rest. The weight (or lack thereof) is fantastic. Definitely worth the money invested.

I purchased this mask 3 weeks ago as a replacement for my 2000 model Randy Marsh mask. I have called 8 high school fast-pitch softball games with The Diamond iX3 and it is SUPER!!!! Very light, absorbs shock from foul tips very well. My only concern is the padding, still trying to adjust to the fabric padding. I am old school and like the feel of doeskin on my face... Other than that I would recommend this mask to anyone looking to purchase a new mask for softball or baseball.

I received this mask on May 25, 2007 and could not be happier with it. The mask is absolutely the lightest mask I have ever used. Not only is the mask lightweight, but it has proven itself to stand up to 80mph+ fastballs and foul balls. When hit squarely, the mask peels away from the face, as it should, to deflect and lessen the impact. I could not be more pleased with this mask, and the service I received from Ump-Attire.com in obtaining this mask. I placed an order for the Mask on the 24th of May, and it was at my doorstep the following evening, on May 25th.

I just received my new Diamond Feather Weight Umpire Mask and I am very happy with what I have seen so far. I have adjusted it and it feels outstanding. I think it is more open than even the Wilson Chrome Moliben, which I have used for the last three years. It is lighter too, I can tell the difference. I also like the ear "flaps" on this mask much better. They are swept back more, giving less chance for a hit from a foul ball on the way to the back stop. I will be using it this weekend for opening day of a local little league fall season and next week for a high school varsity/college freshman game.
