7 games in one day. These are much more comfortable and lot less felt impact on past balls than the set of Diamond iX3 I had prior. They are a little bulkier looking, similar in weight while wearing. Adjustable knee/shin padding makes a custom fit that feels like they were built just for me. Wishing they weren't being discontinued.

I don't actually care for these umpire shin guards. I have the All-Star Mask and chest protector, but I don't like these. They feel really bulky, especially in the knee. The ankles don't fit at all with my Reebok low-cut plate shoes. I'm thinking of going with the Force3 or even back to Wilson even though they're heavy.
Questions About This Product
Q: | I'm 5'7", would the 17" model fit over the knee well like a double knee shin guard? – Andrew C. |
A: | These single knee shin guards will protect your knee but fall short of the coverage provided by a double knee shin guard. The double and triple knee shin guards are designed to cover the space above the knee and lower thighs. Ensure you have proper-sized shin guards so that you don't end up with a shin guard that stands up taller than your knee when in a plate stance. – Ty UnthankCustomer Service Specialist, Pro Umpire School Graduate and Umpire |
