I’m hoping for the best but, is there anyone in America willing to make a premium product? The 600 denier fabric is fine. The middle zipper is sturdy enough but, I’m not in love with the inner zippers. I had to fix one of them myself right out of the box. The divider was missing but, Ump Attire sent the replacement part immediately so I’m never worried about them. The rest of the zippers seem lightweight and to be honest the sturdier zippers wouldn’t add too much more to the cost. Some of the mesh-lined compartments may or may not last. The size is nice and the handles below the zipper are well thought out but, I’m skeptical. I also like that you can open this and get to the top and bottom at the same time. I’m (of course) hoping for the best and expect many years of service. I’m willing to bet that a premium 36” with wheels could be made with better materials. If this does last…I’ll be happy to eat my words.

This was my first bag ever after a full year of being a Little League Umpire. I definitely loved the space on bottom that is a hard exterior and easily holds my protective gear. The top portion holds all my uniforms nicely, and I loved the top compartment with small pockets and zipper pockets for all the tiny stuff. The bag is durable and I’m ready to break it in more in 2023!

Love the dimensions. The pockets. The nooks. The crannies for stuff. Simply cannot endorse the purchase of this bag. Had one great season with the bag. By the end of the season, I was starting to have some issues with the zipper on the large top compartment. In the second season, one of the zipper heads quit. That was okay, the other would easily go all the way around. This spring, the other zipper head began to to have issues and eventually failed completely. I now have no way to close my top compartment other than with the handle straps. Not the professional look I'm going for. Honestly the bottom compartment zippers have endured MAJOR abuse as that compartment tends to get over filled and more frequently jostled--that's a pleasant surprise. But that my top compartment is now exposed to the world means I can't give this bag more than two or three stars.
Questions About This Product
Q: | Does Ump Attire have the new model of the Champro bag? I have seen the model with two shoe compartments and blue trim on other websites. The pictures on your site still show the old model, which I currently have, but I need to replace it. Thanks. – Lee Brazeal |
A: | Switching Champro Equipment Bags is something that we are looking at for the future, but right now, we will continue to carry the Champro Equipment Bag Model E51B. – Holly Montgomery |
