Updating my review post-alterations: Increased my rating from 3.5 stars to 5 stars. These are the best umpire pant material out there, hands down (think golf pants). The color is great; dark gray which lines up nicely and is essentially charcoal gray. They are light and airy and breathe excellently on a hot day. Huge improvement over wool and poly wool. Unaltered, the back rise was way too long, leaving a ton of extra material in my rear making it look very droopy and saggy. While getting the length hemmed, the tailor also shortened the rise and now the pants fit better in the seat. It still baffles me why these associations continue to insist on pleated pants instead of flat front (pleats are dinosaurs, fellas) and it would be nice not to have to spend an extra $30 for alterations, but the pants themselves are definitely 5-star.
