Smitty Heather Grey Umpire Plate Pants with Expander Waistband

I purchased a pair of both plate and base pants and love the expanded waist option, however, one of the waist extenders on my plate pants ripped right off when pulling my pants together to buckle them before a game, and it just dangled there, and had to be secured with a bobby pin. Disappointed that I had to pay a seamstress to makeshift sew it back in the enclosure to hold the pants together! Smitty products should be more durable than that...not pleased.

Not allowed to have pleats on our umpire pants - so needed to be returned - the process, return and refund was quick and easy. These pants would have been perfect if they did not have pleats.

Waaayyyy too baggy even with pads. Had to send them back.

Love the Smitty plate umpire pants! Size was perfect, and expandable waist is helpful. I like the quality and feel of the material, and the re-enforced seat. Plenty of room for shin guards too.

The expander waist band is nice. Wish they maintained their color better though.

Both the plate and base umpire pants are great. The expander waist is wonderful during the early spring and cold weather when wearing an extra layer.

Comfortable and room to move with shin guards on. I just wish you could order the length you need and not have to hem them when they arrive.

I have 2 pairs of the plate pants and they fit well with the stretch waist. They are low maintenance and stand up well. I have 80 plus games with the first pair. I have pro9 leg guards and they fit well over them. I recommend these pants.

Great plate pants! Plenty of room in the seat and thighs. Of course there is also room for your shin guards too. Love the expander waist. Nice deep pockets and clean, crisp pleats. I can't speak to how well they will stand up to repeated laundering at this time, but so far they look good.

Initial wearing, they feel really nice. The waist expansion works well - ordered my waist size [expansion might have to cover next year:)]. Have worn for 4 games - I think I'll be getting more. I don't know long term - have had another brand and they started turning pinkish after a few trips to the dry cleaners.

Recently purchased these pants and I love them! Very comfortable and nice waistband. I like that the belt loops are big enough to easily put my belt through. They've stayed wrinkle free and look great.

I ordered the Smitty plate pants and after wearing them a very short time, I ordered the base pants too! These are the most comfortable pants I have had in 30 years of officiating. Planning on ordering the basketball pants too.
