Unequal Uncap Protective FlexShell
Official 2-Minute Review: Unequal Uncap Protective FlexShell
Still waiting to use this product because we have adopted the new COVID-19 two-man mechanic in New York. Calling balls and strikes from behind the mound for the plate man. But as far as I can tell, I might need to go one size up with my 4 stitch plate cap.
New York, NY
Took a little time to get used to using. I had to wear it around the house for awhile. But fits under the cap well and provides great head protection for umpires that wear the regular mask. Many of my partners didn't even realize that I had it on. I've actually worn it on the bases with the new "Social Distancing" umpiring mechanics where I'm calling balls and strikes from behind the pitcher.
Takes a bit to get used to as mask sitting differently on your head and if you run with a "tight" hairstyle, it can have some slippage issues. That being said as an umpire with prior concussion issues, it does make me feel safer on the diamond and once you get your mask fitted correctly, it is a good product that offers protection and peace of mind.

Leading medical doctors, PhD’s and scientists have concluded that a reduction in acceleration correlates with a reduction in concussion risk. Any player in any activity, game, or sport, can sustain a head injury even with head protection, and that no helmet, pad or Unequal product can prevent concussions or eliminate the risk of these injuries.
