Description

These umpire shin guards provide the same nylon shell-on-foam padding construction and similar hard shell ankle protection as the Wilson Professional leg guards, but in a lighter weight, double-knee setup.

Features

  • Unique double knee design provides some above-the-knee protection.
  • Contoured inner padding is nylon shell with foam for superb comfort to both knee and leg - same padding design as Wilson Platinum and Gold chest protectors - and also extends enough around the leg to prevent rubbing from strap hooks.
  • Floating middle knee for better flex upon bending
  • Expanded ankle hard shell plates over nylon shell and foam for maximum ankle protection
  • Contains MLB logo and "W" Wilson logo on each side of ankle plate
  • Removable shin pad for easy cleaning
  • Removable instep plate
  • Weighs approximately 4lbs
  • Shell color matches both Wilson Platinum and Charcoal chest protectors.

Wilson is the official umpire gear of Major League Baseball® and Minor League Baseball®.

I have only word these umpire shin guards once but they were very comfortable. I originally ordered the wrong size and had to return for the next size up. The return process was easy and the correct size shin guards arrived before my next tournament.

Questions About This Product

Q: How do you measure for shin guards?
– Shawn Jeffrey
A:

Good question Shawn. Measure your leg from the center of your kneecap down to where the shin guards will rest on your plate shoes. This will result in your shin guard size. More details can be found in the "Fitting Room".
