Wrap some coolness into your umpire chest protector with the KoolBlue's Cooling System. It helps baseball and softball umpires stay cool during those hot summer days with Thermafreeze ice packs strapped onto your chest protector in a pouch with elastic straps.

This is the first prototype designed and crafted by Indiana umpire Brad Finken.

  • Compatible with all umpire chest protectors
  • 10.5" x 8.5" cloth pouch
  • Elastic straps with Velcro attachment
  • 4 Thermafreeze reusable ice packs included

  • Submerge or soak the soft side of Thermafreeze ice packs
  • Wipe off excess water and place Thermafreeze packs into freezer
  • Bring to game in a cooler
  • Insert frozen ice packs in KoolBlues pouch at game site
    • 2 at a time is recommended by the manufacturer
  • Place KoolBlues pouch on the inside of your umpire chest protector with logo facing outward
  • Attach pouch in place with elastic straps around the front of your chest protector

Note: Ice sheets are not designed to stay cold for the entire game. Body temperature and outside ambient temperature are all factors in how long the ice sheets stay cold.

This thing is astonishing. I love it especially in the Texas heat we have 7-8 months of it. It keeps me cool, and the packs last 4-5 innings if you pack them right. I wish I could purchase more packs however!

Two thumbs up for KoolBlues. They stood the test in a tournament last weekend. Provided much-needed heat relief in Phoenix. Had to change them out for back-to-back plates. Worked multiple back-to-back plates over three days. Highly recommend these jewels. Have a 6:30 varsity game tonight in Tucson. Will definitely be wearing one.

Questions About This Product

Q: I bought the product and it definitely works. However, after watching the videos and reading everything I could find, I haven't seen any info on the following: what direction should the cold packs face when they're placed in the pouch? Should they be printed side facing your chest, mesh side facing the chest, or does it matter?
– Larry Snyder

For the best results, having the mesh side of the Therma-Freeze ice pack against your chest should allow more of the cooling effect to be felt.
