The Clasp - Football Penalty Flag Clip

Been looking at this for a couple of years now. Finally remembered to add it to the cart when getting some other stuff. Very glad I did. It definitely works, if you’re tired of always stuffing your flag back in after works it’s way out, I would highly recommend The Clasp.

I’m reviewing the flag clip on belt holder. I never got to wear it in a game. It broke the first day. I got it when I put it on my belt. I do not recommend it. Especially for $17, $18 for a piece of cheap plastic.

This is a great idea. Wish I had thought of it.

Very simple device but it works well. I found that I need to position it just to the side of my belt buckle to avoid chafing but that's about where my flag was anyway.

It's a little costly for a piece of plastic, but it does a great job in terms of keeping your penalty flags in place.

This is a good product. I was a little skeptical at first but my mind changed quickly. It is easy to wear, comfortable and does a good job of keeping your flag in place. Adding another one to my equipment soon.

I love it! It holds my flag in place and it is no longer falls out when I run. I used to have to re-adjust my flag constantly during the game just to make sure it wasn't hanging out. It is very nice not to have to do that anymore.

It worked well once I was able to find a position on my belt that it felt comfortable. My flag never fell out while I was running and it was very easy to put back into your pants and make sure the neck of the flag was in the curved groove. I had to round off the bottom edges more of the part on the inside the pants. As a side judge or line judge, I place my hands on my knees and the bottom would press against my waist area making it uncomfortable. I would give it 4 1/2 stars. A suggestion to improve the comfortability of the part that holds the flag inside your pants, would be to round off the bottom edges more or shorten the length along with a more rounded edge. I believe this would still allow the flag to stay in place in the curved area and not fall out while you’re running.

The Clasp holds the flag with no problem. But putting the flag back in is very difficult.

This is keeps my flag where it needs to be. It does take a minute to figure out how to get the flag back in but as with everything else it just takes practice. This is essential for looking like a pro every down!

Works great! My flags would always slide out from my waistband when running. Now, I can use my long-throw flags without worry. I'm buying a second so I can have two flags available.

I’m with Gerald on this. It takes too long to put the flag back after use. I only used mine once (and I bought two).

Definitely worth getting. You never have to worry about your flag falling out running down the field.

Does it hold the flag? So far, yes. But it is big, bulky and not exactly comfortable. I'd also call it awkward. Awkward to set up and awkward to put the flag back into it. I would not buy again.

I'm still on the fence about The Clasp. It does hold your flag in place but it's not as easy as it seems putting the flag back after throwing it.

Love this piece. I never have to worry about the flag falling out unexpectedly on the field. Definitely recommend this to every football official.

For the last two years I've been having an absolute terrible time keeping my flag in my pants and not falling out. In 2019, I was running down the field and my flag actually fell out and I had to tell everyone I don't have a penalty. Some officials I work with put the ball of their flag through the belt and I don't trust that because I'm nervous it'll rip when I throw it, but The Clasp keeps my flag in place with zero movement and I don't worry about it ripping when I throw it. Easily one of the best accessories I've ever bought!
