I bought this for my son and I would go with the size you wear for a jacket. It is big enough for your chest protector. He says it has kept him very warm. It also washes up very nice.

I absolutely love this umpire jacket. It is plenty warm for cold or windy days and extremely comfortable. I love having the full zip over a pullover as well. The elastic bottom looks better when on the bases. The navy color seemed to be a little light to match navy shirts which is the only reason I didn't give it five stars.

Great umpire jacket. I'm 6'3", average build I ordered an XL and it fits great for the plate and the field. The full zipper, pockets for hands, and pocket for your lineups make this a much better choice then the pullover style jackets. It's also much more professional looking in my opinion. Highly recommend!

Very warm. Did a DH in it last week, where it was 35 and snowed. You'll still want some layers under it. Don't go big on it though, because I did, and it was huge. It was so big, I had to sell it. Going to get a smaller one for next year.

Very warm umpire jacket. I am 5' 10" and slim, so I originally ordered the small. It fit well in the torso, but was short in the arms. Exchanged the small for a medium and am very happy with the fit.

Full zipper is great fit for cold weather.
