Very comfortable. Was having issues with my other pair. Got these and been pain free since. Highly recommend.
Trevor L. Saint Louis, MO |
Comfortable as heck, insoles feel like you're running on pillows. One con I have is, where the N logo is by the toe is where the shoe creases when you walk/run and the logo fades/disappears right there on the logo.
David F. Wesson, MS |
Best shoe on the market. Bought these to replace older mid versions and after getting, had time return for 1/2 size larger. Got the replacement and they are perfect, so go up 1/2 size.
Terry B. North Ridgeville, OH |
With very wide feet, I have struggled to find shoes that fit properly. As a result, I would typically find myself with pretty bad cases of foot pain sometimes after just 1 game. I've tried different Nike's, New Balance in the past, Smitty, all of them and decided to come back to New Balance and try them. I realized that Ump Attire seems to be the only place who carries these shoes in 4E. Every other place has been either a standard D or just 2E. These 4E are incredibly comfortable. If you have wide feet, I'm not sure you'll be able to find a 4E anywhere to get the width you need.
Phil M. Salisbury, MD |
I had the New Balance mid cut and replaced them with these. I went up a half size for comfort and I am happy I did. Love shoes, they feel great and great support.
Shawn M. Newport News, VA |
Ordered a half size larger and the wide width. They fit perfectly. They are light weight, comfortable and easy to keep clean.
Chris Harrington R. Ansonia, CT |
Great shoe!! One of the best on the market. Feels like you are kind of walking on air. I do recommend getting the mid-cut if available, or taking advantage of the favorable return policies that Ump Attire offers us. The reason I say this is, I put insoles in my base shoes. Not that you need them with this model, but if you use insoles, look into the mid-cut. That’s just my advice. Great shoe, one of the best field shoes in the business.
Edward W. Bakersfield, CA |
Awesome shoes for bases. Gives me the comfort and support I need. I can do four games and my feet won't even hurt.
Michael K. Discovery Bay, CA |
VERY comfortable!!! I did have to go up a 1/2 size. Other then that, these are the best looking and easy to wear!!
Tim M. Newport, AR |
These shoes tend to run narrow. I would suggest ordering a larger width than you normally wear. Great fit and looks great!
Joe N. Iowa City, IA |
BUY THIS SHOE if you have wide feet. Fail to understand why other manufacturers on Ump Attire do not offer wide sizes.
Rick A. Federal Way, WA |
When I first put these on I thought they were a bit small. I wore them around the office for an entire day and they started to break in. I still think they might run a half-size small, but an excellent product
Mark C. Cape Town, South Africa |
Overall awesome product. I suggest one pay special attention to the width. They feel narrow on my feet. Cleans and shines up well. Definitely a great addition to my kit!!
Lawrence G. Finksburg, MD |
The New Balance shoes provide good traction on turf, grass and dirt. Easy to clean and they shine up well. When taken care of, you can expect several seasons out of them.
Thomas G. Waterbury, CT |
I have many New Balance products. They are all very high-quality shoes. Very comfortable and easy to clean.
Jesse K. Brownstown Charter Township, MI |
Standard D Width felt a little narrow, I normally wear standard D width. Went with the 12E wide, these are my go-to for long cold days. Performed well during all-day rain and real feel 36 degrees, Michigan in October. I recommend upgrading insoles. I wore a sock liner, midweight wool socks and upgraded the insole to the Smitty insole. Toe box has top vents, good ventilation.
Larry S. Mesquite, TX |
New Balance base shoes are the only shoes I've bought for the last 10 years. The newest model continues to impress. I still have the pair from 10 years ago because they are well made. They continue to look good and perform on the field.
Bruce P. Seattle, WA |
Good fit for fat feet.
Kyle H. Fort Collins, CO |
I waited over an entire year for these to be released again, and it was worth the wait. They're the only shoes I wear on the field!
Kelly M. Wahpeton, ND |
I’ve always preferred the New Balance umpire shoes. I’d give it a fifth star, but I’d prefer the mid-cut shoe. Otherwise, it’s another great New Balance umpire shoe.
Cory H. Albuquerque, NM |
Very comfortable when you get the right size. The only complaint I have is how easy they crease on the toes. That seems to take away from how nice they look with the uniform.
Clifton H. Pensacola, FL |
Used for officiating football games. I've worn them twice so far. Comfy, but heavy. I purchased the insoles that cut the heat. Those work, hands down. I like the shoes, but I haven't worn them for a full game yet. Will update once the first game is in the books.
Joe M. Princess Anne, MD |
I normally wear a 13-4E shoe. I ordered this size. The right foot seems a little snug. If I were to order again, I’d order a size bigger. Other than that, the quality is good.
John H. Swansea, MA |
Very comfortable and are great on grass or turf!
Matthew M. Penfield, NY |
Very comfortable. Good grip that works well on turf and grass.
Michael W. Clearwater, FL |
These are the most comfortable shoe that I've ever worn.
Kenneth B. Artesia, NM |
I received these on the day of a first-round playoff series. I was a little concerned as they were a little tight in the toe area. However, once I walked around a little, the shoes began to loosen up and felt great! Needless to say, my feet felt great the next day. I should have replaced my 3n2 shoes a lot sooner!
Brian C. Van Buren, MO |
Love these base umpire shoes. They feel great and are comfortable. Don't know why I waited this long to get a pair.
Donald P. Virginia Beach, VA |
The New Balance low-cut base shoe is the lightest shoe I have ever worn. The width sizes up to 4E are the best feature for an official/umpire that has flat feet. I purchased three pairs for softball & football, no regrets, good price also.
Drew P. Woodward, OK |
The insoles feel a bit weird, but that doesn’t impede the comfort. Still very comfortable and very durable.
Scott M. Kokomo, IN |
Best shoe ever and the best thing is New Balance carries 4E wide. I ordered three pairs.
Geoffrey P. Shinnston, WV |
Excellent shoes. I prefer the high top version but they were out of stock. But it worked out good because this set is my newest set which are for turf only which came in handy for those hot games on the turf. Ordered on Monday and had the shoes for my game Wednesday night.
Daniel S. Moore, OK |
These are NOT true to size at all and NOT very comfortable. The insert is NOT good. I normally wear a 13 or a 13EE. I exchanged for a 13 4E and these shoes still don't fit correctly. Definitely NOT the Best New Balance shoe I Have bought
Terry D. Weirton, WV |
Nice look, true to size! It’s not as comfortable as I would like. Need a better insert, but I’m glad these come in EEEE!
Jeremy S. Fisher, WV |
I don’t like these New Balance umpire base shoes nearly as much as I like my older models, but they’re okay. If you have any doubt, go with the wide width or upsize by 1/2 size. As always, Ump-Attire’s customer service, shipping and communication was outstanding.
Glenn G. Parts Unknown |
Had to have a new pair to referee football in and they fit great but the only negative thing I gotta say is it seems there is absolutely zero cushion. Otherwise its a good-looking shoe!!
Lamar F. Huntsville, AL |
This shoe is very comfortable and cleans up nicely. I wore mine for 12 football games and the inside of the shoe at the heel wore a hole in the fabric and there is not much padding there so they became very uncomfortable. A couple of fellow officials have had the same issue.
Charles W. Meridian, MS |
Great shoe. I needed an extra wide and this shoe fit my foot perfect.
Alan J. St. Albert, AB |
These New Balance are the new standard and are everything that an official could ask for. They are super light. They are very comfortable (I did order wide). They break in very quickly. They offer great traction. They clean up with just a wipe. They look awesome. I wear them for both soccer and softball. Highly recommend them.
Daniel S. Winter Garden, FL |
I have FINALLY found my base shoes!!! These fit and feel better then my Nikes, Adidas and prior New Balance.
Martin D. Lubbock, TX |
I have a pair of New Balance V3's for baseball and football. I love the fit and performance. I recommend buying a size up due to the fact that they will shrink during the season with the constant sweat and then drying.
Steven S. Jacksonville, FL |
This shoe is miles and miles ahead of the previous New Balance model. You get the top notch comfort you expect. However, the upgrade of the white sole is amazing. It's SOOO much easier to clean vs the last model. This model doesn't require a toothbrush to get into the tiny nooks and crannies and makes getting ready for your next game a breeze.
Terry F. Sparks, NV |
This version is much more comfortable than previous versions. Recommend it to baseball or football officials.
Joshua R. Saint Joseph, IL |
Much more comfortable than the version 2. Feels like you’re wearing slippers in the field.
Sam R. Abingdon, VA |
Great shoe with superb comfort. Very easy to clean. I’ve ordered two sets of the shoes and I’m both instances the size seems to be running consistently smaller. I strongly recommend this shoe but get a larger size than you would typically order.
Patrick B. Oakdale, MN |
Looks great, feels great, and easy to clean. The size I wear for all my other shoes was a little tight so I would recommend getting your regular size and 1/2 size up to see what fits best.
Douglas B. Shreveport, LA |
Great fit and easy to clean. I use mine for football.
Kendall L. Marshville, NC |
Absolutely love these umpire base shoes. Very comfortable through the entirety of tournaments. Fit great and look great too, I'd wear them anywhere.
Brandon M. Westby, WI |
Great looking and comfortable umpire base shoes!
Dennis O. Machesney Park, IL |
These shoes were purchased based off the last pair I bought, which were great. The new version, not at all. They seemed to have less support, and not as comfortable as the older version. Old ones seemed like standing on pillows, new ones standing on cement. Just my .02.
Dave A. Redding, CA |
These New Balance base shoes are great! They very comfortable and easy to keep clean. If you don't have these shoes your missing out.
Alden D. Elko, NV |
Very nice base umpire shoe and very easy to clean. Make sure to order the correct width when placing the orders.
Holly A. Roseville, CA |
Comfortable, lightweight and easy to clean shoe. I appreciate that New Balance offers various widths to choose from, so great that Ump-Attire.com stocks/offers them. Very happy with this base shoe!
John S. Owosso, MI |
I love my New Balance umpire base shoes. They are very comfortable and roomy. I will have no problem recommending these shoes and will continue to recommend Ump-Attire.com to any umpire/referee colleague.
Kory V. Colorado |
Comfortable shoes, light weight, looks great. I had to get a size bigger than what I thought, but that’s no big deal. Ump-Attire.com was very helpful in helping me get a new pair and returning the others. Ump-Attire.com does a great job with carrying quality equipment. Thank you.
Sherman N. Mt. Airy, NC |
This is a great umpire shoe. Only thing I can say bad about it is the insoles are a lil to thick so I had to go a half size bigger, not a big deal though. Otherwise, its a great shoe.
Thomas C. Hoover, AL |
This is a very comfortable umpire or referee shoe. Par for the course for New Balance. I can wear them for baseball or football.
Miguel B. Saint Cloud, FL |
Very good looking base umpire shoe. The new insoles are way more comfortable than older models because they are a little thicker. The only downside to their thickness is New Balance did not take that into account, and the shoe fits tighter than normal.
Jeffrey C. Copley, OH |
Comfortable. Professional looking. But I like last year's model better. Not a big fan of the "N" on the front of the shoe.
James R. Greer, SC |
This is a very comfortable umpire shoe. It arrived on time but the box was rather beaten up. The shoe looks sharp, has great traction and on these hot summer days, heat doesn't build up in the shoe. Great foot support and lightweight. Good purchase.
Mark B. Cedar Rapids, IA |
Great looking umpire base shoe and they fit great as well.
Zac G. Orlando, FL |
Very comfortable umpire base shoe, sleek look, easy to clean. Very lightweight and lets your feet breathe during a warm afternoon game while keeping them dry during a rainy game.
Chris L. MO |
Very comfortable. I'm pleased with my purchase.
Craig H. Fayetteville, GA |
Awesome umpire base shoe! Very comfortable. Highly recommend them.
Jim B. Colorado |
The new New Balance v3 umpire base shoes are great. Very light, good support and comfort is amazing.
Ryan Mississippi |
These umpire base shoes are really comfortable, and they haven't hurt my feet even the first few times I wore them. Lightweight, comfy, and look great. What else can an umpire ask for?!
Robert V. Green Island, NY |
Best base umpire shoes I've ever had. Love the new styling and comfort is top-notch! I would recommend to everyone!! Thanks for making them available!!
