All-Star Black Magnesium Umpire Mask with Deerskin
Official Review: All-Star Magnesium Umpire Masks
Ty takes you inside All-Stars lightest umpire mask with their most protective padding.
Very good umpire mask, I love the pads. Quite comfortable and I think that the view is definitely an upgrade from a smaller Wilson. I feel like it has a wider view, and while some people say it is too thick and far away from the eyes, I did not have that issue and was able to easily adjust. However, I can't really say the protection is a step up from a normal mask. I was hit by a straight fastball in the upper right-hand side of my forehead, and the mask shook pretty violently and I was dazed for a few seconds. Of course, I can't compare this shot with other masks, but I can't say I felt necessarily safer with its cage construction. I believe the pads are better at absorbing impacts, however. Solid umpire mask.

Just worked a couple of college scrimmages with the ALL-Star Magnesium umpire mask and couldn't be happier. I got the one with the tan pads. Very sharp looking, light weight, and comfortable. Even though the grill is elongated and wider, it does not affect the view. I had a great view of 85+ mph pitches, and got plenty of compliments from coaches and my partners. Worth the few extra bucks in my opinion to get the tan pads by the way. EXTREMELY comfortable.

I have been using an Force3 umpire mask, which I like, but is not a soft feel. This mask is very comfortable and light, and the view is good.
