Description

Introducing Force3 Pro Gear’s upgraded V2 umpire tights with thigh protection. These tights have a built-in pocket in the thigh area for Kevlar discs to protect you when working the plate. The pads can be removed for tights' use on the bases as well as a cup pocket.

Made from a polyester and spandex combination, the tights offer much more compression than the previous version. The polyester/spandex blend wicks sweat and dries fast, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Constructed with strong and comfortable flatlock stitching, ergonomic seam placement, and an anchored floating cup pocket.

These tights not only keep the chafing and irritation down from shin guard straps but will help keep you protected from those terrible shots to the thighs.

FEATURES

  • 84% Polyester / 16% spandex fabric for compression fit
  • Integrated jock/cup pocket
  • Kevlar discs are easy to insert and remove
  • Color: Black

They felt a little bulky when put on, but I never noticed them when I stepped onto the field.

This is my first year umpiring so I am still getting use to the different protective gear options. I recently took a fast ball off the inner thigh for the first time and it took weeks to heal to where it didn’t feel tender to the touch. I came across this product and thought this is perfect in a variety of ways. Usually, in compression pants and shorts, I can get away with wearing a large. The Force3 seems to run smaller. I had to exchange a large for an XL in hopes that it would be a better fit. Well, I was wrong. I still may have to exchange for a 2XL if I don’t want them to slide out of place. But then, I would be afraid that the Kevlar pads would not be in the optimum spot. I bought two pairs and right now it seems as a lost in money and I haven’t even worn them in action. A little too pricey for them not to fit properly. Recommend they adjust the sizing for a true fit based off of waist and weight measurements.

Sorry, but this product just doesn't work. The waste band is terrible. It rolls and slides down on my butt cheeks every time I bend over. Probably should be wider than 1 inch. The kevlar thigh protection is a good idea, but the pockets aren't correctly positioned, in my opinion. Yes, the pads protect the inner thigh, but too much. They should cover a little better on the top of the thigh.

Questions About This Product

Q: Do these have a pocket for the cup?
– Troy Bucy
A:

Yes, these have what Force3 calls a floating cup pocket. It is intergrated with the tights and as a bonus, it stretches where it is attached so that it moves with you.
