Force3 Cloth Mask for Umpire Masks & Helmets
Crew How-To: Force3 Cloth Mask for Umpire Masks & Helmets
Follow along as we demo the latest in COVID-19 protection for umpires.
First want to thank the Ump-Attire.com service department. Shipping sent me the wrong cloth mask. They sent me a helmet mask instead of the regular mask. They are going to send me the correct one as soon as it becomes in stock. One suggestion for the manufacture. The areas were it connects to the upper part of the mask and the middle bar of the mask Velcro strips should be sew on to cloth mask to keep in place. Taking the umpire mask off several time during the game seems like to cloth mask will slide off the corners of the umpire mask.
This is nicely made and will fit almost any mask; however, this is NOT going to be useful for me to wear on the plate. The device complete takes away the lower half of your vision. It is near impossible to track a low pitch with this on your mask. I tried it on the All-Star Magnesium mask and there's no way I can track a low pitch with it on. I would think it would be even harder to see with an Force3 mask, since they sit further from your face (creating more of an obstruction in your field of view). I was hoping to avoid having to wear a medical mask on the field, but this is not the solution unfortunately.
