All-Star System Seven Umpire Chest Protector
Don't Be The Stinky Plate Umpire
- Crew How-To: Properly Measure and Size Your Umpire Chest Protector
I've been looking at the All-Star chest protector for a couple of years now. I went with the Wilson West Vest Gold when it went on sale last season. So I purchased the All-Star System7 because the price dropped (selling West Vest) and man, I am so happy with the vest. I usually put a System7 harness on all my chest protectors now I have the whole unit. Love how it looks flat with my shirts on but really impressed with the shoulder coverage it fits snug as you want it and plenty of collar bone coverage. Might as well buy the extra pads for the vest while there on sale also.
What an incredible deal on this CPU4000 umpire chest protector! Great protection and comfort on this rig. VERY comfortable, even on hot days, and removable washable pads add to the benefit. In my opinion, WELL worth the slight additional price over the Adams XV-HDX (and I was very happy with that overall).
After 20 plus years I’ve found my replacement for my Umpire Armor. It fits my bigger frame well, cooler in the heat, and takes a hit without feeling anything. It took a little adjusting but I got the fit down pat.
