Wilson MLB 4" Umpire Throat Guard
MLB Umpire Hit in Throat While Wearing a Helmet
While a mask or helmet does extend down some in the front, there are still angles from below from a batted ball that can allow a baseball or softball through. A throat guard may have helped in this situation.

I should have bought this years ago as it surely would have prevented a few fouls from getting under my mask. It snaps easily onto mask.
Fort Wayne, IN
Not too large. Not too small. Just right. Fits my non-Wilson mask as if it was made for it.
Love the way this throat guard attaches - the strap and snap button attachment on the Wilson is what drew me to this throat guard over others I have used previously.
