Wilson MLB 6" Umpire Throat Guard
MLB Umpire Hit in Throat While Wearing a Helmet
While a mask or helmet does extend down some in the front, there are still angles from below from a batted ball that can allow a baseball or softball through. A throat guard may have helped in this situation.
Like the nylon straps and snaps on the Wilson Throat Guard - just switched to this 6" model on my Force3 Mask.
Thousand Oaks, CA
I previously owned the 4 inch and ordered another one for my "backup mask" but this will be traded out for my everyday mask. I thought it would be too long but it's not at all. Perfect length.
