Smitty Open Bottom Half-Zip Umpire Jacket - Black and White
Sierra Vista, AZ
I truly like this umpire jacket. It tucks in well and looks great. The one drawback I have found is the jacket does not breath well making it a hot item to wear behind the plate. I do recommend the jacket but suggest a version with venting in the back for warmer climates. When tucked, the moisture vents via the neck and can fog the glasses worn by the plate umpire.
I bought this jacket about 5 years ago and although it's time for another due to the fading, I think this has really been a great jacket. I finally had to install a full length zipper in order to release myself from asking my partner for help in cold weather, due to the extra cold weather gear and sweat shirts for those cold freezing nights.
Excellent plate jacket. It's hard to pull over a chest protector but once on it's plenty roomy and very comfortable. The lining makes it perfect for cold weather games and it looks very professional.
