After a significant number of requests for a tapered base pant of its popular poly spandex umpire pants, Smitty delivered. These Charcoal Grey Pleated base pants with expander waistband are ultra-tapered and have a shorter rise for the fittest look in the market and on the field.

This latest tapered style for baseball and softball umpires also boasts a new lighter weight 88% poly / 12% spandex state-of-the-art fabric. The 4-way stretch blend is not only moisture-wicking, but is also now water-resistant, allowing you to stay drier in more weather conditions.

BASE PANT FEATURES

Ultra-tapered cut is narrower at the knee and bottom
Shorter rise than traditional umpire pants
State-of-the-art 88% polyester and 12% spandex fabric is lightweight and is water and wrinkle-resistant
Pleated front with standard slash-style pockets
1.5" elastic expander waistband on each side, allowing for up to 3" expansion
COLOR: Charcoal grey

Why did it take so long for these to come out! No more MC Hammer pants while working the bases and they fit great, like a nice pair of slacks should. I had to buy a size up from my usual base pant size and I had to be remeasured for hemming but that was expected.
