This particular timer is not good. Batteries died first time out. 12/20 second timer is about 2 seconds late on both 12 and 20. 90 second timer does not work.

I have used the older version and liked it. The 'updated' one I received this year doesn't work—cheap construction. Didn't function as expected or as in the past. Sent it back for a refund. I wouldn't have paid $20 for it.

This new v.3 has me looking forward to v.4. This current v.3 is not good quality. It rattled and broke during my first use.

5 games in and the switch is malfunctioning already! Older models have a toggle rather than a rocker switch which I prefer. Also received it with the battery pack loose and 1 of the buttons inside loose. $95 is robbery for what you get, $35 product at best.

Started out liking it but after using it for three now not as much of a fan. The toggle switch is tight and difficult at times to flip. The auto shut-off has already drained one set of new batteries. When replacing them it was difficult removing the back cover. To save battery life I remove the batteries after prying several minutes to pop the back off until the next use. Not convenient! Too much money for the headaches.

Works well. Easy to use and program. I think it’s pricey for what it is, but can’t work without it.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this product is garbage. I feel like they know there's not many alternatives and made a substandard product. As earlier reviews have stated, the cover is difficult to remove, which wouldn't be much of a problem except you are going to have to remove it during the game because the batteries will become dislodged. It's like they think umpires just stand still because running will cause the batteries to pop out of the area they are supposed to be in. They take a $30 product and sell for $100.

Cover is hard to remove and you'll most likely scratch and or chip when attempting to open. Timer is extremely bulky. Button switch functionality is a cool feature, other than that not worth the purchase.

The new button seems to be the only improvement from the previous model. My first attempt at removing the cover to get to the batteries messed up the plastic more than the previous model did over 2 years of use, and the lid definitely seems harder to remove compared to the previous model as well.

Upgrading to this timer this year after using a stopwatch. Using a stopwatch always caused one not to pay attention when in B or C. I'm hoping this will help with timing so I can pay more attention to the game.

Older version seems better made excluding the button. Plastic is brittle when popping the cover off for the batteries. The battery "holder" is only secure at one end, so it's more difficult than it needs to be. Also, the one I got has some sort of coating on the jumper switches, but it did not interfere with setting them for lacrosse. Finally, the belt clip can be arranged in either the horizontal or vertical positions, but it cannot be rotated. It's an either or scenario requiring the screws to be removed to set the position.
