I’ve had a pair of these for two years and have had no issue, although, I do rotate between these and the NB plate shoe. HOWEVER, I have a partner in the same HS association that have these and he took a passed ball/foul ball to the toe two nights ago. He’s about to lose his toe nail. Apparently this is not the only incident. An umpire took a shot to the toe in Spring Training and had to come off the field. Lost his toenail the moment it hit his foot. I’m sure these are not the only incidents. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

Like this a lot and tucks well, kept me dry and fairly warm on two games that were a bit drizzly and breezy. Pretty hard to get on over the top of a chest protector but once it's on, it's fine. And plenty warm!
