These shin guards are light weight, but they have a huge knee cover that does not sit close to your knee.
This might be due to me ordering them the wrong size and or there is no 3rd strap to keep the knee cap closer to the body when getting into position behind the plate.
I have another pair of different shin guards that sit closer to the body and they feel better and look cleaner under your uniform pants.
