I feel safe wearing this! Lightweight and breathable! I've taken a couple missed and/or foul balls off this guy and didn't feel anything. I think this is great for lower levels but I will probably upgrade at higher levels.

I have had this chest protector for 4 years. I umpire everything from 9 year old to 55+ league and select baseball and softball. Took many hits and love this. Much more movable then the modified shoulder pads.

The padding is very thick and looks weird under the shirt. The little flaps on the sides do very little and seem to get caught on each other very often. Have been hit and it didn't do a great job of stopping the force of the ball. Would recommend getting a hard-shell umpire chest protector for any level above Little League as this won't suffice.
Questions About This Product
Q: | Is there a replacement harness for the Champro Pro-Plus Umpire Chest Protector? – Pete & Joan Dunan |
A: | While there is not a replacement for the stock harness that comes on this umpire chest protector, all of the replacement harnesses we offer will work for this Champro model. The Force3 or Wilson chest protector replacement harness will work best given the versatility. You will need to use the plastic buckles from the stock harness as the buckle system is unique to the Champro chest protectors. – Josh MannPro School Umpire Graduate |
