Great product. Got hit directly in chest with this product and did not feel a thing. Great protection. Only issue I had is had tough time folding up and putting in my bag.

Very lightweight, and comfortable. Felt like I had nothing on.

This is a great fit. I ordered for my 15 year old daughter and 13 year old son and it fits great, not to bulky. Would definitely recommend.

Great entry level chest protector. Lightweight and well fitting. Not sure how it will handle 90 mph fastballs though.

Nice chest protector for starting out. Has a wide enough neck opening and lays nicely on women with a larger size chest. The adjustability this protector offers is great compared to others that I've tried. It's also lightweight and easy to put on and take off. Would recommend it and buy it again.

Great starter chest protector for high school levels and below. If you can't spend too much money on gear for this hobby, buy this protector. It is bulky but lightweight, but not the best for moving air on a hot day. However, it will protect you, and fits nicely, I am a smaller guy at 5'6" 180. Bent over, it isn't the most comfortable, too long for my taste. Overall, for the price, and if your starting out, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend it for newer umpires.

Haven’t worn it yet but it is as described. Lite but seems to be protective in the areas I needed more coverage. The design is protective yet sleek. Fits well under my umpire shirt.

Perfect for use by a big guy like myself. Not too bulky yet long enough to add plenty of protection. Even on hot days, this product was not too hot and ideal for keeping me as safe as possible!

Highly recommend this chest protector for youth baseball umpires. It's light weight and provides good protection, especially over the shoulders---a spot many other models do not cover.

I chose this Champro chest protector after growing tired of being plunked on the inside shoulder and arm due to catchers who've seemingly lost the ability to catch pitches that are high and inside. (Yet somehow they're able to frame outside pitches. Smh.) It's enhanced coverage around the the neck and collarbone area is fantastic. Despite being a very thick protector, it's lightweight and remains comfortable on even 100 degree days. Once the initial setup is done, getting into it still takes a bit longer compared to other protectors but it stays in place place quite well. The optional biceps protectors are nice but do impact your movement a bit and have a tendency to creep out from under your shirt so keep an eye on that if you go that route.

I feel safe wearing this! Lightweight and breathable! I've taken a couple missed and/or foul balls off this guy and didn't feel anything. I think this is great for lower levels but I will probably upgrade at higher levels.

I have had this chest protector for 4 years. I umpire everything from 9 year old to 55+ league and select baseball and softball. Took many hits and love this. Much more movable then the modified shoulder pads.

The padding is very thick and looks weird under the shirt. The little flaps on the sides do very little and seem to get caught on each other very often. Have been hit and it didn't do a great job of stopping the force of the ball. Would recommend getting a hard-shell umpire chest protector for any level above Little League as this won't suffice.

I wore this chest protector for two seasons of youth travel and HS JV games. It's easy to put on, does a solid job for those levels in terms of protection, and I liked the fact that it had a removable extension. The only reason that I don't wear it anymore is because I had a chance to pick up a West Vest at a great price and so I sold this one to a young umpire to help them get going. The only negative that I can think of is that I was not a fan of the factory harness.

Feels comfortable, light, haven't gotten hit yet, but padding is quite thick, I'm sure It'll do it's job.

Lightweight, affordable protection for fast pitch softball. Adjustment straps only took 5 minutes to get a comfortable fit. Ventilation keeps me relatively cool on the most demanding weather days. Offers me much needed shoulder protection.

It's kinda cheap and extremely difficult to adjust. It took me about 15-20 mins to adjust but I guess you get what you pay for. Probably would not buy it if I had seen it before buying.

I like the protection and how light it is. I know this sounds lame but it takes a while to get it to fit right. The straps are kind of fickle but once you finally get it adjusted just right it stays on nicely and is good for foul balls.

I bought this 6 years ago as a first year umpire and it has served me well. Protective, comfortable (incl. in summer). At 6'4", I bought the chest extension and bicep extensions after having taken some severe hits and highly recommend them. Protector does need adjusting but once done, fits very well.

Have had this protector four seasons and it's still in great condition. Absorbs impact well and is not uncomfortable on hot days. Several of my fellow umpires tried mine and then ordered one for themselves. It's very easy to clean up and doesn't odor up like some protectors.

I ordered this protector as a supplement to my West Vest when doing Little League games. I found many of the features amenable, with one exception. the little flaps underneath the armpits were very uncomfortable and restrictive when I was in my box stance, to the point that I actually returned it. If it hadn't been for that, I feel I would have enjoyed the light weight and good protection for the price. If you have a different stance or body style (I'm a beanpole), it might work better for you. This was my first choice of soft protectors offered by Ump-Attire.com, but unfortunately it wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped.

First of all, The service is great and it came to me quick, I am very satisfied. Now with the chest protector, it is the best chest protector I have ever used, during the last few games I umpired during Fall Ball I got hit like 5 times with the ball and did not feel a thing. I would Recommend this at Little or High School leagues.

I started umping last year and needed an inexpensive but good quality protector in a hurry. I purchased the Champro combo set and was impressed by the protection, fit and speed of recieving by ump equipment. I may get the bicep extensions though after taking some fouls during men's league. I will definitely suggest the Champro brand and Ump-attire.com to fellow umps up here. This site was suggested to me during my umpire training in Brandon,Manitoba.

This is a good chest protector if your just starting out and have a limited budget. I've done over 200 baseball/softball games ranging from little league to high school level wearing this chest protector and this protector has done fairly well. Only complaint I have is the shoulder protection. I got hit with a foul ball once and it left a huge bruise on my shoulder. It also can get really hot in the summer. Overall, not bad for the price

I purchased my chest protector about 6 years ago and I absolutely love it. I tried about 3 or 4 other brands and Champro was the best for the money. I umpire middle school, junior, senior, Big League, and Little league divisions here in Indiana. I have taken quite a few foul balls off the chest protector and it flexes great. You feel the impact but not the shock. I would recommend this chest protector to anyone starting off with a small budget like I did.
