This was my first chest protector entering the profession -- so I don't know how it 'compares.' The good thing is the protection was excellent. That being said, after my rookie year the T-hooks have ruined a handful of shirts with rust stains. I consider it bulky. I also was really hot on tournament days, with steam rolling out when I pulled it away from my chest. Phenomenal entry piece...but I look forward to exploring upgrades soon.
