These Smitty pants are very comfortable. Like others have said, I'd go on the smaller size if you're in between sizes. I wear a 34 in jeans, but the 34 in these pants is just a bit large. The athletic fit version does have quite a bit more room in the thighs and in the crotch. I've tried both versions now and prefer the tapered fit.

Unfortunately these pants did not work out for me. The drop in the crotch was very low. If you are having them hemmed, be aware of the low drop.
