The Whistle Shield

The Whistle Shield is 100% better compared to the whistle pouch. It fits the Fox 40 Classic perfect by snapping into place. The only thing I would recommend is probably attaching a ring to the shield for the lanyard.

A very high quality, low profile umpire chest protector from Douglas. Would have been 5 stars if not for the unusually flat panels. As mentioned in other reviews, they do show under your shirt and it's a constant battle to use the hairdryer to get the edges to curve (and stay curved) around my torso. Once done, it feels really comfortable. I do agree that it needs a better harness. I switched out the manufacturer's one with the "UMPLIFE Flex Umpire Chest Protector Harness". It fits perfectly. Another plus is it makes it easier to put on and take off. I have not yet had the opportunity to "game test" the product because our season is delayed due to covid, and I expect to be totally satisfied. I will be updating my rating after I have used it in a game.
