I originally purchased these for my 13-year-old son to wear as a soccer referee. I wanted him to have a shoe that worked on multiple surfaces and would be more comfortable then wearing his soccer cleats. The first weekend he wore these, he was constantly talking about how comfortable they were as he was running. So I purchased a pair for myself as well. So far, so good with these. I'll keep these for turf and harder grass fields. They are comfortable with good ankle and Achilles support. They also feel more like a running shoe as opposed to other shoes like this that I've worn. I did order a half-size larger than normal (I usually wear an 10 1/2, but ordered an 11) after my son tried his normal size and then also needed a half-size larger.
