I love this umpire jacket! However, if I wanted to wear this over my plate gear I'd need to order a size up as my normal size fits great for the bases, but is a tight fit over my chest protector. I already bought the fleece jacket to wear over the chest protector. If I need a jacket when working plate as I also prefer the full zip when putting on over the chest protector.

Force3 V2 Ultimate Umpire Chest Protector

Took a 91 MPH fastball straight to the heart area. Not as good at taking a shot like the west vest platinum but this protector has many up sides. The West vest is very bulky and doesn't look very good under my shirt. As a tall and skinny guy I love how low profile this protector is. Also on a hot day this chest protector isn't as hot as the WV. The question most people ask me is if it is worth $280. I tell them for me yes because I am very picky about the way I look and I didn't like the fact that the West vest platinum was too bulky. If you are an umpire that looks fine with the West vest this protector probably isn't the way to go. The West vest protects a little better and is cheaper.
