Wilson MLB West Vest Platinum Umpire Chest Protector - 12"

The Platinum is an excellent protector. I wore one for 3 seasons and it did its job well. My complaints with it were that it was a bit too short for me at 6'2 (didn't cover my bottom rib), and it had a tendency to drop down thus needing to be hiked up often no matter how tightly I adjusted the straps. Otherwise it did a great job as far as protection.

This chest protector is fantastic. I’ve worn it for 10 games or so and taken some foul balls, and it protects like it should. It doesn’t breathe as well as maybe I thought it would, but the protection it provides far outweighs how well it breathes. I have peace of mind to stand in there and take whatever comes at me bc I barely feel anything when it hits. Love this product!
