Paul Nelson
 Paul
wears many hats here in addition to the one on the left. As our Warehouse Manager, he insures that our packaging, physical inventory
and
shipping
areas
run smoothly.
He also doubles
as
a master carpenter for our in-house needs as well as a model for
our product picture taking. That's him in the full uniform on this
page.
Most interesting about Paul is that he is an excellent glass artist
outside his time with us. His work is featured in exhibitions
and galleries throughout the
United
States,
and he teaches art classes
at Flame
Run Glass
Studio and
Gallery in Louisville. Recently, his work has been put on display at the world-renowned Hawk Gallery in Columbus, Ohio. There's a great picture of Paul blowing glass here.
Paul is a native of Wisconsin, but grew up mostly in Nashville, Tennessee where he attended Franklin
Road Academy. As a pitcher during his senior year, Franklin Road
won the Class A state title. Paul also pitched for Centre
College in Danville, Kentucky with teammate of ump-attire.com owner Jim Kirk.
Besides graduating from Centre,
he also holds a M.A. from the University of Southern
Illinois and is married to ump-attire.com's operations manager Jeanne Nelson.
