
Jim Kirk
Jim is the owner of Score 451 Sports, LLC which owns and manages
Ump-Attire.com. Jim has been involved with the ump-attire.com website for several
years before
purchasing it in March 2006 and continues to focus his efforts
here on marketing and maintaining the website.
Jim was born in Harlan, Kentucky, a southeastern Kentucky coal
town, and is a graduate of Centre
College in Danville, Kentucky (1992) and holds an M.A. from the
University of Kentucky.
Jim has always been active in sports. While at Centre,
Jim was a
3-time
All-Conference
first
baseman. During summers in college, he was an assistant football
coach at his alma mater and a basketball coach for a youth recreation
league. After college, he was a high school baseball umpire for
several years, served as a youth soccer coach and
recently
participated in the Roy Hobbs Baseball World Series.
Jim's spare time includes spending time with his wife and two
kids and working as chairman of a scholarship
fund.
Jim also publishes the "Officially Un-Official" blog where he writes informally on the happenings here and in the officials' sporting goods industry.\
