"I purchased the Pro Nine shin guards this past Spring, as my other ones were worn out. In umpiring ASA and NSA fastpitch softball, I needed the best protection available. Well, I have it now. I am out there umpiring 6+ games a day, I've got the protection and comfort that I need. "They really fit great and did a great job on the protection side. Especially on foul balls in the dirt that would come back at you or do the crazy bounces that they do. The only thing I don't like about them is the bulkiness of them. Even with plate pants on, the pants have a tendency to ride on the top part of the shin guard, so your often pulling your pant legs back down. But overall a great pair of shin guards and have enjoyed wearing them."
