Best pants out there. Comfortable, flexible fit.

I have a few of these in plate and base. On one pair, the zipper failed after only a few games, but Ump Attire replaced that pair quickly. They get sunburned after about a year of regular use. If you do 2-3 games in a row, they hold sweat. A bit hard to crease because you have to be careful not to melt/burn them. Robust pants, though, that take a lot of abuse.

Great feel to them. Issue last time was they faded awfully fast got only one summer out of 1 pair especially for the high $ that's not good. We shall see on these 2 pair I bought. But in the heat theses are the best for comfort.

I fully recommend these pants for summer baseball. They breathe so much better than the regular poly-wool umpire pants do. For spring ball, I still wear the regular pants (poly-wool), but when the weather heats up I start to reach for these. They breathe well, dry well (rain or sweat) and you just feel cooler in these with every breeze. These pants tend to wear well, hold their color and look great - what's not to like? Buy a pair and get out there!

These charcoal grey base pants are very well made and look sharp. These are the pants to buy for baseball season. Side note: find a good seamstress to get your pant lengths correct.

These are the best pants put there, especially of you are working in hot, humid environments. They also do not fade nearly as fast as other brands and if maintained, can last several seasons.

These are the ideal pair for umpires that have worn combo pants in their early careers and need an upgrade for umpiring the bases. The Expander Waistband is worth the extra cost. The color and cut of the pants help to make you look and feel like a professional out on the diamond. Would highly recommend to those that are looking to buy their first pair of base pants.

Bought a pair of base pants, they are so baggy I use them for plate pants. This is the second pair I bought, thinking it might have been a mistake, it wasn’t.

Excellent umpire pants. My other pairs, going back four years (have moved from 40 to 38 to 36) are still in great shape. Color is good, and the pants stay sharp and pressed-looking. They wash well in your washing machine. Other plate and base pants from another umpire equipment supplier, that are branded with that company’s name, have lasted at most a season and a half before fading and turning kind of purple. The fabric in these pants does not fade at all. If I hadn’t lost weight, I wouldn’t have needed to get additional pairs. The waist band has great give, so they still fit well if your waist is within 2 inches of the size. There’s really no reason to get any other plate or base pants.

Nice umpire pants. Color is nice. I would like to see button fastening pants. Would be easier to attach.

Fantastic umpire pants. Same great quality fabric as the old version without the expander waistband. With the expander waistband, pants in the same exact size will fit a lot nicer, and provides forgiveness when we inevitably put on a few pounds over each offseason. The stitching on these pants are far and way superior to competing brands.

When these pants were first introduced a few years ago, I ordered a pair. I returned them because they didn't fit great (too tight, no expander waist) and the were too light weight. I gave the new version a try this season and I really like the look, feel and fit. They are certainly cooler than my other pants. The size is a bit of a guessing game, the pairs I received ran large. I had to order several sizes to get some that fit, but in the end, I did and am very pleased.

I was a little hesitant to buy these because of the "expander waistband" because I wasn't quite sure how it would work. I can say now that it is definitely worth it as the waist stretches and contracts no matter how large the waist is. I have a 30 inch waist and it supported that. About the leg length, it is not hemmed and this is very useful, but be prepared to take it to a tailor because I had to hem off about 8 inches off the leg to have it fir me correctly. This is a very good product, very comfortable, and very useful if it starts to rain a little bit because the pants, as far as I can tell, are water resistant and the rain beads up on the pant.

It's Smitty, what else can I say? Top notch quality. Remember you have to get these hemmed! I doubt I will use these long enough to need the expander waistband (let's hope!), but it helps to ensure a great fit without sending them back.

Pants are lightweight, breath well, comfortable. But very baggy for a smaller guy 5'7" 155lbs.

These are the only umpire pants I will wear on the field now. Lightweight and very breathable. I work at a lot of games on turf during the summer months and found these to be great pants to wear. They are also pretty good for colder weather. But not good with the wind as the wind blow right through them.

Umpire pants are good quality and very comfortable. I am a pretty big guy, and I find them to be generously cut. In addition to having them hemmed to length, I also had to have them tapered in the legs to keep them from easily stepping on the lower leg opening. I will definitely buy again, but it cost me quite a bit in tailoring for the four pairs of base pants a bought this year.

Haven't worn them, bought for the 2020 season. Look and feel like good quality.

Yes, it's worth it to get a pair of these base umpire pants to go along with your combo or plate umpire pants. They look great and give you a really nice, professional, non-baggy profile when doing the bases.

I love the look and feel of these pants. I don't recommend this material for the plate as they wear when they rub against something, but for the bases they are great. Only 4 stars because they are definitely NOT wash and wear. You will have to press or steam them to remove the wrinkles, even after removing from the dryer immediately.

Very professional, and a true umpire look. Would've given them 5 star, but today my zipper broke off my plate pants, I don't know how it did, but I didn't buy them that long ago. Disappointed in how quickly the zipper broke. But overall, a fabulous pant!!

Love these umpire pants, wore them all weekend at a training clinic. Looked good all week and remarkably comfortable. All day on the field on a Saturday in Georgia and it was 97 at 6pm. Felt great, would have absolutely died in the old fabric style pants.

These are great umpire base pants and seem well built! Would have given them a 5th star but the base pants developed a run from the inseam, mid-thigh toward the front of the thigh about 5 inches long after being used and washed less than 5 times last season. The material is light and somewhat water resistant but the run which may have been there the entire time and is really not that noticeable at this point, what worries me is for the cost will they last another full season?!

Great feel. The expander waistband is amazing since I'm always in between sizes kind of guy. Not too tight and not too loose. The material of the pants can make it slick on your hands when holding the set position, but the feel is amazing. Great stuff.

Love these pants. Cool in the summer, warm enough in the fall. Easy to maintain. They don't hold dirt like other material so the don't need to be washed after every use. This means they should last longer. The fit is good. The only kind I'll buy from now on.
